He hated waited.
It wasn't something he was good at, or something he would probably ever be good at but he would wait hours for her.
He already had.
In some ways he had waited days, months...Years.
Admiring her from afar, enjoying her in ring work until finally when they got to meet he had found himself strangely speechless.
He could remember how she had touched his arm lightly and squeezed before moving in to pose for a picture with him, slipping under his arm so he could hold her close.
She never looked as small as she felt when she was wrapped in his arms.
Glancing at his watch again Punk sighed, and tried not to be annoyed by the fact that her plane had ended up so delayed. He was pushing it, sitting out in the open in the airport waiting for her flight. So far no one had recognized him but he figured it was only a matter of time.
"Have you been watching the seconds go by?" Her voice breathed into his ear, causing him to jump up and turn around, a grin on his face.
"Yes I have," he kissed her soundly on the lips before wrapping his arms around her, not caring at this moment if anyone saw the two of them together and figured out who they were because he hadn't seen her for three months and phone calls, emails and webcam conversations just weren't cutting it anymore.
Lita laughed, kissing his cheek smackingly and shouldering her bag as she squeezed his hand once she had captured it in her own. "Back to your place?" She asked him, tilting her head to the side as they walked together.
Enough time had passed, he loved her.
"I thought...Perhaps this could be our Chicago home," he explained softly, waiting with baited breath for her reply.
Lita's eyes widened and she stopped him from pushing the button on the elevator for a moment. "Our Chicago home? Meaning my home would be our Atlanta home?" She sounded surprise.
Punk nodded, finally pushing the button he kissed the top of her head before tugging on her arm and pulling her in. "Would that be okay?"
Putting her bag down she wrapped her arms around him and kissed him soundly on the lips with a big grin. "I thought you'd never ask. I've been waiting for so long for you to ask," she kissed him again.
Punk grinned into her lips, chuckling softly as he wrapped his arms around her.
"This means I'll get to see you in those adorable nerdy glasses at night," Lita joked once she had pulled away from the kiss.
"Shut up, or I'll rescind my offer," Punk teased, enjoying her warmth against him.
"You wouldn't."
"No," Punk paused to give her another kiss, warmth growing inside him. "I wouldn't."
