"Is it time yet?" Lita poked his side, causing him to squirm as he sat on the couch watching CSI and wondering if he could pull off the perfect crime.
"Not yet," Punk responded, popping a chip into his mouth and chewing slowly trying his hardest to ignore his live in girlfriend who seemed determined for some reason to drive him into an early grave.
Lita sighed, leaning into his side until he lifted his arm and wrapped it around her shoulders. "Am I annoying you yet?" She asked him, tilting her head to the side with a small smile.
"Just a little," Punk admitted. "It will be here in about a half hour."
"Well as long as it's only a little bit," Lita kissed his cheek and laughed. "I am sorry though, I don't mean to be annoying it's just so exciting."
Punk looked at her, unable to stop the small rueful smile from crossing his lips as he nodded. "It is kind of cool," he whispered, kissing her forehead. "I guess you're allowed to be a little annoying."
Lita nodded, kissing him on the lips and then making a face. "You taste like dill pickle chips, it's gross." She stood up and made her way toward the mud room.
"That won't make it get here any faster," Punk said, just before the doorbell rang causing his brows to draw together in amazement. "Or maybe it will."
Lita came walking in about twenty minutes later, although he had heard the cooing over their new "baby" being as soon as the door was opened. She dropped the small bundle of fur into his lap, and he looked down at it, incredulous. "It's so fluffy."
Laughing Lita nodded, "It looks kind of like daddy in the morning."
"You did not just call me daddy," Punk remarked, running his hand over the kittens fur. "I know you did not just say that."
Lita grinned at him, nodding. "I did." She jumped out of the way when he deposited the kitten on the couch and pretended to chase after her.
"Excuse me Colt," Punk told the kitten, "Daddy has to go teach Mommy a lesson about inappropriate pet names," he barreled after her after she tore out of the room, his laugh echoing through the house.
