House MD: Falling 1/1 (House/Chase) PG-13
Title: Falling
Fandom: House MD
Characters/Pairing: Gregory House MD./Robert Chase MD.
Completed: Yes
Rating: PG-13
Notes: Written for prompt 5. Down at
fanfic50.
Warnings: Contains minor sexual references.
Summary: It was easy to fall down, down he went, and he didn't care.
Table found here!
Falling in love with House was a bit like slow torture, Chase decided one day as he sat at the glass table in what had once been his second home.
There was the agonizing moments where he wasn’t truly sure if the next blow was coming and he would breathe a sigh of relief only to be verbally beat into submission, something he enjoyed for reasons he couldn’t explain to anyone.
Not even himself.
Down he fell, deeper and deeper until he knew that there was nothing else he could do except keep falling.
Sometimes being with House was a complete downward spiral.
“I can practically hear the engine that is your brain stuttering and dying,” his lover commented caustically, leaning over him at the table and smirking lightly.
Chase held his breath momentarily and realized it was a natural reaction to House’s initial presence as he exhaled slowly.
Down he fell.
“And people wonder why we’re together, clearly they don’t see how charming you can be,” he retorted, the words falling from his lips easily as he fell further.
House chuckled, the sound harsh and bitter, as bitter as the man himself but even more caustic and cutting. “They must know I only keep you around because you’re pretty, and you look so good lying on your back.”
Chase inclined his head in a nod, realizing belatedly that Wilson had joined them and was watching their interaction with a sort of horrified amusement.
“It’s either that or they realize that that the only reason I’m with you is due to slight masochistic tendencies or the fact that you’re at your best when your mouth is otherwise occupied,” he replied, glancing at House and arching an eyebrow.
“Nice,” House looked almost proud as he gripped the younger man’s shoulder and squeezed, applying just enough pressure to make Chase shudder.
And down he fell further, but he didn’t care.
